A Word For This Year

At the end of every year now for several years I have had an encounter with the Spirit sharing what to expect in the year ahead.  I have shared these encounters with family and friends.  But, over the last couple of years I have held back what I heard and only shared with a few close people because I have been totally overwhelmed by what I heard.  What I heard was frightening and I did not want to frighten people.  I have also asked God why He is showing me these things when I do not have a voice or avenue to share what He is telling me.

I am always given a means of confirmation of what He says.  It always includes scripture which I then look up to confirm and sometimes I have to go through a hard or painful experience that proves what He has said.  As the years come to an end I have yet to see one small detail that has not come to pass.

What is coming to the church

This year I have again had an encounter with the Spirit.  It came early as it came with a painful experience of grief with a friend.  Then the Spirit used that experience and said this was to show me what He wanted me to understand and speak to others.  He will not let me keep this to myself.  

The word I received was summed up with this phrase “tell My children to get their house in order” speaking of the temple of the Lord inside all of us.  God is preparing us for the return of Christ.  If we do not yield to Him as He cleans us up we will suffer through hard times of grief that will cause us to call on Him.  It is our choice.

I heard the Spirit say judgement begins in the house of the Lord.  I recalled this being said in the Old Testament and knowing God I am sure that He still would say the same thing today.  Last year I heard of the outpouring of grief that was coming first to the believer.  Some believers are already asking what is happening because 2018 has been an unbelievable year with so many going through some very unbelievable times of trouble.  This year will be far more difficult because the troubles will not quit but will increase dramatically.  This shaking of the children of God will end with the rapture which will come very soon.

A summary of a sermon the Spirit spoke to me.

The Spirit told me what has brought us to this place.  It is all because we have forgotten the first two commandments.  Jesus said all the commandments are wrapped up in the two, love God and love your neighbor.  The Spirit preached a message on this to me.  They are not two suggestions!  Our salvation is determined on these two commands.  This is what we are supposed to do…Love.  Jesus said… he that has My commandments and keeps them loves Me and he that loves Me will be loved by the Father.  The world loves their own but the child of God is supposed to love everyone including their enemies.  I Corinthians chapter 13 shows us how we have failed to love.  No matter what we do…if we do not first humble ourselves and love, everything else we do is just noise.

Every word the Spirit spoke to me exploded in my mind with related themes and scripture references that added together into a picture of God’s love and desire to make every opportunity for us to submit to Him and rescue us from the bonds of sin.  He is coming for a church without spot or wrinkle, fully prepared for His return.  The sermon continued over a few days and included the word I am sharing about the year ahead.

What is God’s purpose in giving this word?

Many of you have gone through or are going through the results of this word this last year, as well as I have.  What we have gone through is mild compared to relentless shaking that is coming.  Many do not know what is laking and will try harder and harder to follow what the church has taught them but they have overlooked the number one expectation which is to love and what that means.  This word is to correct that.  Those who hear this word and have searched their hearts to see what is lacking in following the commands to love and submit to the Lord will not go through the shaking and will only feel the hurt of others.  They will show their love and support to others through this time.  For the ones that do not accept this word initially there will be a shaking but as they begin to see it happen they will remember this word and submit to the Lord.

Please share this word with all or help me to share this word.  I have to believe that others are also getting this word because time is short and my reach is so small.  We are all accountable to each other and to the Lord as we all serve the same Lord.
